I have this problem too (but i have 2 cores not 4 ) it uses only one core  
and if i turn the second core on, after restarting the game it is using  
only 1 core again (BTW. I run on windows XP SP3 pythjon 2.4 [and yes i  
tried the 2.6 version but it is the same])
